A Woodward, Iowa, woman died Sunday in a motorcycle crash on Derinda Road.
Shannon Smith, 26, was driving her motorcycle north on Derinda Road, about 1.4 miles north of Albrecht Road, at 11:20 a.m. when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert, according to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Department.
Authorities pronounced Smith dead on the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
