Argyle, Wis., police search for suspect in convenience store attack
Investigators say suspect fled scene after assaulting clerk

ARGYLE, Wis. - Argyle police are looking for a man who reportedly attacked a gas station employee early Tuesday morning.

According to police, the woman was entering the Ampride convenience store in Argyle at about 3:30 a.m. when a man attacked her from behind, forcing her against the door and triggering an alarm. She was shoved against a cooler, suffering a concussion and disorientation, Argyle Police Chief Hayley Saalsaa said. The woman refused medical treatment and went to the Monroe Clinic Hospital in a private vehicle.

The suspect fled the scene and didn’t take anything, Saalsaa said.

He is described as a male with a dark mustache, a dark complexion, dark clothing, 6-foot-2 and approximately 250 to 275 pounds.

Saalsaa did not release the victim’s name.
