Mudslide reported near Castle Rock
TH staff
Overnight thunderstorms dumped 3 to 7 inches of rain in parts of southern Crawford County, northern Grant County and western Iowa County.
The heaviest rain appears to have fallen north of Fennimore and around Highland, where more than 5 inches reportedly fell.
Runoff from excessive rain caused flash flooding around Eastman, Boydtown, Woodman, Castle Rock and Hickory Grove.
Flash flooding from the Big Green River was also reported at Werley, and there was a mudslide on Grant County Q near Castle Rock. That mudslide has seen been cleaned up by the County Highway Department.
