Plans unveiled to widen Asbury Road west of Dubuque
By Michael Schmidt

With a growing West End community and a deteriorating roadway in mind, Dubuque County officials unveiled a project Wednesday to widen three miles of Asbury Road west of Dubuque.
Dubuque County Engineer Mike Felderman, along with Supervisors Donna Smith and Eric Manternach, held a public information meeting at the Fire Training Center to display road plans to property owners along Asbury Road.
The $1.2 million project will widen a stretch of Asbury Road, from Budd Road to Graf Road, extending the roadway to 22 feet wide with 3-foot graded gravel shoulders.
