You can join in artistically at Rountree
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- Rountree Gallery and Friends of Our Gallery will host several free events during Heritage Day, Saturday, July 4, at the Rollo Jamison & Mining Museum, as well as a monthlong exhibit by the gallery's founder.
The public is invited to participate in creating a picture window mural duplicating Cindy Schave's "The Platteville Mound," a pastel work. Participants will reproduce one of 48 small sections of the artwork, which will be fitted together.
There will be a silent auction fund raiser from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the museum grounds. Artwork donated for the auction is on display in the window of 85 W. Main St., next to the Driftless Market.

The oil paintings of Robert Tarrell will be on display in the gallery, Wednesdays-Sundays, July 1-26.
Tarrell, who grew up in Platteville, is an art professor at Edgewood College in Madison. The exhibit will feature oil landscape paintings of Wisconsin, as well as Fanjeaux, France,

The Bill Anderson Show tickets on sale
