Woman unhurt after car hits cow

A Stitzer woman escaped injury after hitting a cow with her car on Tuesday.

The car Cindy Trumpy was driving suffered minor damage in the crash, which took place around 8:20 p.m. on U.S. 18 at Humphrey Road. Jerry Breuer, the cattle's owner, retrieved them and got them back into the fenced area.

The Grant County Sheriff's Department did not describe the extent of the injuries to the cow.

Earlier, around 8:15 p.m., along Grant County A near Bloomington, a loose bull from Bloomington Livestock was shot with two tranquilizer darts and transported back to the Livestock Exchange. Deputies said the bull was very aggressive.
