Police
Dubuque police reported the following:

* Jeremy J. Fortmann, 26, 841 Cleveland Ave., was arrested on a charge of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. Police say Fortmann assaulted Earl L. Harry Jr., 19, 85 S. Hill St., with a baseball bat between 2:15 and 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of West Locust Street, causing no injuries.

* Devon D. Bolden, 21, no permanent address, was arrested on two counts of assault and interference with official acts. Police say Bolden assaulted Karen Burgmeier, 46, 998 Spires Drive, around 5 p.m. Wednesday, causing no injuries. Police say he also assaulted Jennifer L. Wernimont, 27, 1991 Marion St., around 1:45 p.m. near the 2500 block of Asbury Road, causing no injuries.

* Jourdan L. Womack, 13, of Dubuque, reported $1,000 worth of items, including a Gameboy Advance and games, stolen between 10 and 10:10 a.m. on July 27 from a Dubuque address.

* Geri A. Walsh, 81, 3035 Pennsylvania Ave., reported $20,000 worth of jewelry stolen from her home, occurring between

8 and 10:45 a.m. Wednesday.

* US Bank, 435 Kennedy Road, reported $500 stolen from a forgery, occurring between 1 and 1:07 p.m. on May 25.

* David Y. Shepherd, 44, Zwingle, Iowa, reported a vehicle worth $6,500 stolen from the 100 block of Main Street between 7 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday.

* Todd H. Schmitz, 45, Sherrill, Iowa, reported a burglary to a garage at 2275 Elm St., with $800 in damage and $3,800 worth of items stolen from his boat, including fishing poles and bait casting reels. The incident occurred between 7 p.m. July 30 and 3:30 p.m. July 31.
