Child run over by car
SHULLSBURG, Wis. -- A child was injured Saturday morning after being run over by a car on Shullsburg's Mineral Street.

Nevada Sandlin, 4, was transported to the Lafayette County Memorial Hospital for treatment of a leg injury, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department.

Angela Sandlin, 38, of Shullsburg, had parked the vehicle and was exiting when 4-year-old Nevada Sandlin was playing with the shifting lever and emergency break and caused the car to roll backward down the hill. The child jumped from the vehicle and was run over. The vehicle continued on, striking a house and a landscape wall.
