Dudenbostel earns recognition as 'Fairest of the Fair'

Amanda Dudenbostel was crowned "Fairest of the Fair" in Gays Mills on Wednesday night on the first evening of the 151st annual Crawford County Fair.

Dudenbostel is the 19-year-old daughter of Don and Kim Dudenbostel, of Steuben. She's a 2007 home school graduate and a 2009 graduate of Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, with a major in agribusiness science and technology. She's been involved with the fair for more than eight years.

"I would like to help promote our fair and show others what a great asset our fair is to our county and help show them that it's really time well spent," said Dudenbostel.

Future Fairest of the Fair were also chosen:

* 6- to 8-year-old -- Rachel Kramer, daughter of Ray and Becky Kramer, of Eastman; attendant -- Faith Morga, daughter of Julio and Carrie Morga, of Soldiers Grove.

* 9- to 13-year-old -- Olivia Dudenbostel, daughter of Don and Kim Dudenbostel; attendants -- Allyson Jones, daughter of David and Kim Jones, of Mount Sterling, and Karen Kramer, daughter of Ray and Becky Kramer, of Eastman.

* 14- to 16-year-old -- Mikaela Baker, daughter of Jerry and Dawn Baker, of Ferryville.
