Clothing exchange planned at 7 sites

The Lafayette County (Wis.) Association for Home and Community Education is conducting a free children's clothing exchange this week.

The exchange will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today at seven sites, including in Belmont, Benton, Darlington and Shullsburg. People are asked to gather their outgrown children's clothing that is clean and in good condition and take it to one of seven sites.

Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, people can go to the American Legion Hall, 1400 Kemp St., in Darlington to select clothing. All the clothing collected throughout the county will be at that site. There is no charge. Those who don't have clothes to contribute still may select clothing.

Drop-off sites include the Belmont Community Center, St. Patrick's Hall in Benton, the American Legion Hall in Darlington and the Methodist church in Shullsburg.
