ASBURY, Iowa — The filing period for three Asbury City Council seats up for election began Thursday and will continue through Sept. 17.
In order to be placed on the Nov. 3 ballot, candidates must be nominated by a petition signed by a minimum of 10 eligible electors. Interested candidates must be eligible electors of the city when filing nomination papers and at election time.
Candidate papers are available at Asbury City Hall, 5080 Asbury Road, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
