Bertling Jr., 26, was murdered early Saturday, Aug. 15, morning, in an Independence, Mo., church parking lot.
He was the victim of what investigators say was a random and unprovoked attack.
The Bertlings have relatives in southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa.
