Man faces drunken-driving charges

A Shullsburg man faces drunken-driving charges after a one-vehicle accident Sunday in Lafayette County.

Donald Heuvelman, 48, was involved in an accident on Ollie Bell Road in the town of New Diggings, then left the scene, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department. Authorities later found Heuvelman at home.

While Heuvelman suffered minor injuries, authorities said his vehicle was severely damaged.

Heuvelman also was cited for failure to have control and failure to notify police of an accident.
