11-year-old leads Wyoming police on a high-speed chase

RIVERTON, Wyo. -- Wyoming police said an 11-year-old boy driving a large SUV led officers on a high-speed chase reaching speeds of 100 mph.

Bureau of Indian Affairs police said the chase started in central Wyoming and ended about 50 miles away. The boy ditched the vehicle and jumped into a lake, but he was unable to elude police.

Authorities said alcohol was involved and charges are pending in juvenile court.
