Manchester Mayor Milt Kramer received the Luther College Distinguished Service Award at a ceremony Oct. 2 in Decorah.
Kramer was one of 12 alumni to earn the award, which is given in recognition of success and achievement in a professional field, service to society, contributions to the community and loyalty to Luther College.
A 1959 graduate of Luther College, Kramer has served as mayor of the city of Manchester for more than 30 years.
Kramer also was the chairman of the social studies department at West Delaware High School from 1963-1997.
