Driver causes damage in downtown Dubuque

An Olin, Iowa, man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving after repeatedly slamming into a building and concrete wall in Dubuque.
Benjamin J. Swan, 24, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated. Around 12:43 a.m. Sunday, Swan pulled into a private business driveway in downtown Dubuque.
He hit a cable box, struck a building at 290 Main St., hit a concrete wall of the Third Street bridge, backed up and hit another concrete wall near the building, according to an accident report.
Swan caused about $2,500 worth of damage, police said.
