Drive seeks hats, gloves

The Jo Daviess County Farm Bureau has announced its "Warm Heads, Warm Hands, & Warm Hearts" program.

New hats and gloves are being collected to help keep local children warm this winter.

Hat and glove collection containers are at all Apple River Bank locations, Galena State Bank branches, offices of Country Financial agents Joe Miller, Bill Briggs and Adam Meador, and the Jo Daviess County Farm Bureau office.

For those who prefer, monetary donations also are accepted at each location. Money will be used to purchase winter weather gear. Hats, gloves and monetary donations will be collected through Nov. 15.

The hats and gloves will be distributed at the Jo Daviess County Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) office during the upcoming winter months.

For more information on this collection, contact the Jo Daviess County Farm Bureau at 815-858-2235.
