Orchestra Iowa will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Elkader Opera House.

Founded in April 1921 as the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Iowa is one of the oldest symphony orchestras in continuous operation west of the Mississippi River.

The orchestra will present a program entitled "Neocons," which includes Beethoven's Symphony No. 1, Stravinsky's "Pulcinella" and Respighi's "Gli Uccelli." A reception on stage with the orchestra and Maestro Timothy Hankewich will be held after the performance, with all in attendance welcome.

Single tickets for the event are $20 and may be purchased online at www.orchestraiowa.org or by calling 319-366-8203 or 800-369-8863. Tickets also are available at Moser Family Pharmacy in Elkader and at the door the day of the performance.
