DECORAH, Iowa - A Guttenberg man was killed Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash near Decorah.
Dennis Phelan, 52, was traveling northbound on Frankville Road, located three miles southeast of Iowa 9, around 1 p.m. when his motorcycle lost control and went into the ditch, according to the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department.
The motorcycle rolled several times and came to a rest on its side.
The Iowa State Patrol, Winneshiek County Emergency and the Decorah Police Department assisted at the scene.
