Theisen's will be opening 3 new stores

Theisen's announced it will add three more stores to its chain for a total of 20.

Theisen's of Corallville, a new construction of more than 102,000 square feet, located at 100 Westcor Drive at U.S. 6 just off I-80, is planned to open in the fall of 2010. Groundbreaking is already under way.

Theisen's will open Cedar Rapids North, also in the fall of 2010, at 1800 51st St. NE in the former EconoFoods building with more than 106,000 square feet.

In 2011, Theisen's plans to add its 20th store with a location in Indianola, at 2112 N. Jefferson Way on Iowa 65/69. This store will be 50,000-square-feet.

This expansion is expected to add 200 jobs bringing the total number of associates employed by Theisen's throughout its Iowa locations to more than 850.

Additionally, Theisen's will be launching a new internet sales Web site in the coming weeks.

In 1957, Theisen's opened its first branch store in Maquoketa, and also has locations in Dubuque, Dyersville and Monticello.
