The Bellevue Community School District has broken ground on its $4.5 million expansion project at the middle and high schools.
Tricon Construction, of Dubuque, is the lead contractor on the project, which will involve a lunch-room remodeling and construction of a 700-seat multipurpose room in the first phase.
The project will be funded through a local-option sales tax and the district's physical plant and equipment levy.
