Although it is expecting a softer November, Mystique Casino President and CEO Jesús Aviles said September and October were strong months at the gambling establishment.
Aviles spoke to members of the Dubuque Racing Association board Tuesday.
He said the racetrack casino captured 49.7 percent of the Dubuque area market share last month, and the area gambling market has now increased by 15 percent thanks to the investments that Mystique and Diamond Jo have made in their properties.
The racetrack casino had $5.73 million in adjusted gross revenue in October, up from $5.35 million the month before, according to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission. Admissions were 126,286, up from 107,691 in September.
