Air quality advisory issued for Dubuque, Jackson counties
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has issued an air quality advisory for two northeast Iowa counties.
The advisory, which is in effect until 8 a.m. Tuesday, is for Dubuque and Jackson counties, according to a press release from the National Weather Service office in the Quad Cities.
Poor air quality is expected to persist until rain passes through the area Tuesday morning.
The DNR recommends citizens with respiratory or heart disease, elderly citizens and children limit prolonged exertion until air quality conditions improve.
