Loras will host public Christmas events
TELEGRAPH HERALD

Loras College invites the community to celebrate the Christmas season with the college as it hosts events that are rooted both in the college's Catholic faith and holiday tradition.

The following public events will take place on the Loras campus:

Fair Trade Craft Sale

The Father Ray Herman Center for Peace and Justice will host its annual fair trade craft sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Monday, Nov. 30, through Thursday, Dec. 3, in the Marie Graber Ballroom at the Alumni Campus Center. The sale is intended to give students, staff, faculty and community members the opportunity to purchase craft items made in underdeveloped countries, with the proceeds going to the artisans.

L-O-R-A-S Radio: A Christmas Carol

Join the members of Alpha Psi Omega as they celebrate Christmas with a tale of the season by re-creating a "live" radio broadcast from the 1940s at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in the St. Joseph Auditorium at Hoffmann Hall. The event is a fundraiser for Alpha Psi Omega, and general admission is $5.

Mysteries of Christmas

Join the Loras College Choirs and Wind Ensemble in a program of reflective readings and seasonal music at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at Christ the King Chapel.

Sounds of the Season

Hear the Loras College Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and Chamber Ensemble play seasonal favorites and join with the Loras College Choirs in sing-a-long carols at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Fieldhouse. Admission is free, but a dry goods donation for local food banks is requested.
