Twenty-one pounds of marijuana found in vehicle

Two men have been arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana after a traffic stop Tuesday at University Avenue and Wilson Street.
The Dubuque Drug Task Force stopped a vehicle Tuesday and a search inside uncovered 21 pounds of marijuana.
The passenger, Chad Kammerude, 30, 63 Nevada St., was arrested on warrants for delivery of a controlled substance and a probation violation. He was also charged with possession with intent to deliver and possession with intent to deliver in a protected area.
The driver, Kenneth Hoppman, 30, Rockford, Ill., was charged with possession with intent to deliver and possession with intent to deliver in a protected area.
The possession charge is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, and the protected area charge could add five more years onto the sentence.
Kammerude and Hoppman are in the Dubuque County Jail pending a court appearance.
