PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's recently concluded and final American Red Cross three-day blood drive of the academic year yielded 806 pints, breaking UW-P's spring record of 755 pints donated last spring.
Both the Residence Hall Association and the National Residence Hall Honorary assisted in hosting the American Red Cross blood drive. At least 250 pints were collected each day of the blood drive.
In October 2012, 873 pints of blood were collected at the three-day drive, which is UW-P's overall record of units ever donated.
Since 2005, the Red Cross has collected about 10,700 pints of blood at the UW-P blood drives.
