Composer Marvin Hamlisch dies age 68

American composer Marvin Hamlisch has died age 68, according to his family.

His works included "A Chorus Line" and music for "The Way We Were," "The Sting," "The Spy Who Loved Me" and other films.

Hamlisch became the second person to win three Academy Awards in the same evening in 1973, when he took home Oscars for his musical contributions to "The Way We Were" and "The Sting."
