Iowa Court of Appeals: Knicker's robber's judgment, sentence OK

The Iowa Court of Appeals today affirmed the judgment and sentence of a man who robbed Knicker's Saloon in Dubuque in 2009.

Eddie R. Adams was convicted by a Scott County jury in May 2011 for his part in a Dec. 9, 2009, robbery, after which Dubuque police officer Lt. Scott Baxter was shot.

Adams was sentenced to 25 years in prison for robbery, five years for unlawful possession of a firearm, five years for possession of an offensive weapon and 30 days for assault.
