The Dubuque Police Department continues to investigate Wednesday's meth lab explosion at a Loras College apartment building. Police have not released the name of the suspect.

"It is still an active investigation and we are fairly certain charges will be filed," Lt. Scott Baxter said.

So far in 2012, four meth labs and three dump sites have been discovered in Dubuque County. Meth has been cited as the cause of two fires. In 2011, Dubuque County law enforcement officers reported six active meth labs and 49 dump sites.
