A statue made at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville 25 years ago in tribute to those who fought in the Vietnam War will be honored.

The statue entitled "Fragments" will be part of a tribute ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Highground near Neillsville. It was sculpted in clay by Robert Kanyusek and then formed in bronze by the late UW-P professor Weldon "Bud" Wall and his students. It has been the focal point of the Highground since 1988.

The names of more than 1,200 Wisconsin servicemen killed or missing in action in Vietnam are included on the bronze and wind chimes on the statue.
