Residents of the Cuba City School District have approved a ballot item that allows the school district to exceed its state-mandated revenue limit.
The vote was 497-275, with 64 percent in favor of letting the district exceed its limit by $600,000 on a recurring basis. Of those "no" votes, nearly one-third came from the village of Dickeyville, where residents voted 89-60 against it.
The district already was exceeding its revenue limit thanks to an operating referendum four years ago. Tuesday's vote allows it to be recurring.
