KEILER, Wis. -- Edward W. Kirchberg, 87, of Grove, Okla., formerly of Keiler, and Springdale, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Veterans Medical Center, Fayetteville, Ark.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in Wilson Cemetery, Springdale, where military rites will be accorded by Rogers Veterans of Foreign War Post 3031. There will be no visitation. The Memorial
Funeral Home, Springdale, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born on May 7, 1922, in Keiler, son of Edward William and Viola Lakeman Kirchberg. He was of the Catholic faith and was a former owner of Bertha and Ed's Restaurant and Tavern, Potosi.
Edward served in the Navy and enjoyed horse racing.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Miller, of Auroa, Ill., and Al Kirchberg, of Rogers, Ark.; a daughter, Joan Miller, of Monroe; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Kirchberg, in 1987; three brothers, Harold, Donald and Gary; a grandson, Bart Miller; and a great-grandson, David Flud.
