LANCASTER, Wis. -- Mildred B. Wolf, 93, of Lancaster, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, rural Lancaster.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Schwartz Funeral Home, Lancaster, with Robert Orr officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends may call from 2:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born on Aug. 12, 1916, in Ellenboro township, daughter of Ulysses and Augusta (Rossow) Boyd. She married Charles W. Wolf on Jan. 1, 1942, at the Methodist Parsonage in Lancaster; he preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1989.
Mildred worked at the Grant County Independent and the Lancaster Care Center as a nurses' aid before retiring from the Lancaster Memorial Hospital as a ward clerk.
Mildred was a gourmet cook, enjoyed embroidery, quilting, traveling and loved music and performing with her sister, Dorothy. She also loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her three children, Weyma Jean Reavis, of Minneapolis, Rodney (Norma) Wolf, of Lancaster, and Douglas (Karla) Wolf, of Pahrump, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Walker, of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Cory Timmerman; two sisters; Elva Haines and Theresa Boyd; and a brother, Harry Boyd.
