MADISON, Wis. -- Everett "Pat" Thormann, 66, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at home, due to natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at Gunderson East Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Wednesday.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1947, in Dubuque, son of Guerdon and Melvina (Olson) Thormann. Everett worked for John Deere Dubuque Works, as well as Madison Kipp for many years. He had a very "green thumb" and went to school in Dubuque.

Everett was a very loving, generous, outgoing man who would go out of his way for anybody.

He is survived by his significant other, Katherine Jones; a son, Richard Thormann; a daughter, Kelly Thormann; stepdaughters, Cybil Whitesel and Marlena Jones; a stepson, William Jones; sisters, Kathy (John) Rupp, and Julie Thormann; brothers, Karl Thormann and Paul Thormann (special friend, Julie) and David (Deb) Thormann; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sonny and Clifford Thormann; and his ex-wife, Rita.
