A Man In Mourning: God, I Hope I Did It Right
During and after his wife’s unsuccessful battle with breast cancer, Jim Swenson responded the way few men would: He wrote. A veteran newspaperman, Swenson wrote candidly and intimately about his experiences and emotions. And he did so with a faith perspective. A Man in Mourning: God I Hope I Did It Right is a compilation of Swenson’s published columns, personal journal entries and reflections, and responses to him and his writings. He is features editor and columnist for the Telegraph Herald. The book recounts the periods before, during and after the final illness of Jane, Swenson’s wife of 17 years, who died of breast cancer on her 42nd birthday in 2003.
